Research Interests: I am a PhD student studying machine learning, molecular biology, and data science for shark conservation. My research includes building artificial intelligence programs for classifying shark species from visual media. I fly intelligent drones and analyze environmental DNA for the purpose of surveying fisheries activities and population genetics. I am also data-scraping shark sightings from social networks such a Instagram to develop landscapes of current shark populations.
