Research Interests: My research interests include fisheries population dynamics, fisheries management, invasive species management and decision analysis. My dissertation work is focused on providing decision support tools for the management of invasive blue catfish in Virginia's tributaries of the Chesapeake Bay. I am developing a stock assessment model to support management strategy evaluations examining the potential outcomes of various management schemes. The results of this work will help decision makers balance the ecological, economic and sociocultural desires of diverse stakeholder groups interested in the recreational and commercial opportunities these tidal river systems provide.
